Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in meal preparation and food handling. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and high-quality meals while ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This position requires a collaborative spirit and a commitment to excellence in food service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking areas. Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing recipes. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting, is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Having a Food Handling Certificate is beneficial, but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
