Adecco is currently seeking skilled individuals for the position of temporary full-time Kitchen Cooks / Line Cooks. Your role will be vital behind the scenes, as you will be responsible for preparing delectable meals for the upcoming Cirque du Soleil show in Vancouver, BC. Collaborating with a dedicated kitchen team, you will create a diverse range of culinary delights, crafting menus and meals for Cirque\'s dedicated employees.

Pay rate: $25.00/hour

Location: Vancouver, BC

Shifts: 5 days a week

Responsibilities:

Prepare food for service to Cirque\'s employees (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces);

Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings

The answer, report, and follow Cirque chef\'s instructions

Clean up station and take care of leftover food

Stock inventory appropriately

Ensure that food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion

Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Help oversee prep cook\'s duties and tasks.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of proven cooking experience in high-end restaurants or hotels

A culinary school diploma is preferred

Participate in the teardown and set up of the kitchen

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Familiar with the industry\'s best practices

Good knowledge of English and the language of the market to facilitate conversations with the foreign tour team

Potential for heavy lifting may work on one\'s feet for up to 10 hours, work in a loud environment

Comfortable with working in an environment subject to outside weather conditions (cooking facilities are under a non-permanent structure: containers)

Provide any health/food safety certification documentation as may be required in the relevant market { Serving It Right (SIR)}

Full availability to work 5 days a week, including weekends, early mornings, and late nights throughout the entire duration of the show in Vancouver.

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
