Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/Kitchen prep helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and meal preparation within the food industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in delivering high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation while ensuring a safe and efficient kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and customer satisfaction. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, providing help where needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
