Known for our seasonal nine-course tasting menu crafted by Chef Daisuke Izutsu, we honour the traditions of Japanese cuisine while embracing a creative and exploratory approach to ingredients and techniques. Our mission is to create a thoughtful, memorable dining experience for every guest.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a part-time Kitchen Assistant to join our small, dedicated culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the preparation and execution of our tasting menu, maintaining our exacting standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with ingredient preparation, plating, and presentation under the direction of our chefs Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas Manage daily mise en place, stock rotation, and quality control Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient service flow

Qualifications:

Previous kitchen experience preferred (any cuisine) Interest in and/or knowledge of Japanese cuisine is an asset Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards Ability to work cooperatively in a small team environment Legally eligible to work in Canada (valid work permit or permanent residency)

Wednesday to Saturday

Hours:

2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (may vary)

Shifts per Week:

2-4 (negotiable)

Compensation:

$17.60/hour + tips + 4% vacation pay
