Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and keeping track of food items. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment. Participate in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for various meal services. Support the team during busy service times by ensuring timely delivery of prepared dishes.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we welcome those eager to learn. Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A positive attitude, willingness to take direction, and adaptability to changing tasks are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
