Duties
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical health, movement patterns, and functional abilities to develop tailored treatment plans.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance mobility.
Educate clients on injury prevention, proper body mechanics, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
Monitor progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, doctors, and occupational therapists to coordinate care plans.
Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with privacy regulations.
Provide motivational support and encouragement to empower clients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Stay current with industry best practices by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Kinesiology or an equivalent health sciences field from an accredited institution.
Valid licensure or registration as a Kinesiologist with the relevant regulatory body.
Proven experience in clinical assessment, rehabilitation techniques, and exercise prescription.
Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy, biomechanics, and injury management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse client populations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Active Release Techniques (ART) or manual therapy are considered assets.
