Self-Sufficient Seniors is dedicated to helping seniors maintain independence, mobility, and quality of life through personalized exercise and wellness programs. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated

Kinesiologist

to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead group exercise classes designed for seniors, focusing on strength, balance, flexibility, and mobility. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate functional abilities, mobility, and overall fitness. Develop and implement individualized exercise programs tailored to client goals, health status, and abilities. Provide one-on-one support, guidance, and encouragement to seniors during their sessions. Collaborate with other team members to support holistic wellness and continuity of care. Track progress and adjust programs as needed to maximize outcomes and safety.

Requirements



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pediatrics and acute care settings. Previous experience in a hospital environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French are a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks. Demonstrated analysis skills for evaluating patient progress and treatment effectiveness. Familiarity with patient care protocols and customer service principles within a healthcare context. Competence in computer operation and electronic medical records management is required. Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field. Experience working with seniors in group and one-on-one settings. Strong knowledge of functional movement, balance training, and exercise prescription for older adults. Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Other Notes:



Part-time hours to start, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position. The successful candidate will be hired on as a contractor
