Redesign Lives with Movement, Strength, and Confidence

----------------------------------------------------------

Are you passionate about helping people rediscover the joy of movement and the confidence that comes with it?

We are seeking an Active Living Coach to join our dynamic, community-based organization supporting people living with disabilities and health needs to redesign their lives in community - away from institutional care - toward more self-directed, meaningful living.

About the Role

------------------

An Active Living Coach is a movement and wellness specialist who helps people build routines that align with their goals, abilities, and interests. This role combines kinesiology or athletic therapy expertise with coaching--using movement and physical activity as tools for connection, wellness, and participation. Active Living Coaches help make activity part of everyday life, whether it's exercise, recreation, or simply moving with more confidence.

What You'll Do

------------------

Support individuals to explore and participate in movement and physical activities that reflect their identities, abilities, and preferences. Design and adapt active living strategies that promote safety, confidence, and self-expression. Coach team members and families to bring movement and physical engagement into daily routines. Help foster inclusion through community-based programs, recreation, and wellness opportunities. Be a key member of CONNECT's coaching resource team and contribute to integrated, person-led planning.

What We're Looking For

--------------------------

A background in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, or a related field. Experience supporting individuals living with brain injury, stroke, or other disabilities and health needs. Strong relationship-building, coaching, and communication skills. Creative, flexible, and committed to person-centred, trauma-informed practice. Registered or certified with a relevant professional association (preferred).

Working at CONNECT

----------------------

This is a presence-based role at CONNECT Partners. You'll work across homes and community settings in a collaborative, team-focused environment where flexibility, creativity, and joy are valued.

How to Apply

----------------

If you're excited about building confidence and connection through movement, we'd love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter sharing why you're a great fit for this role.
