What We're Looking For:

Kinesiologist

You have

evening and/or weekend availability for our Burnaby Heights studio

You are at ease leading 30-minute to 1-hour personal training and exercise rehab sessions with a flexible schedule You have experience with initial assessments, communicating recommendations to clients and stakeholders, and charting after each client session You have experience communicating with clients by email and phone to schedule sessions and with claims specialists and health professionals about treatment plans, recommendations and scheduling You are comfortable selling packages and promoting our services and clinic to potential clients, local businesses and organizations You are available for team meetings and in-service training

How We Work



Kinesiologists conduct 1-on-1 initial assessments and ongoing treatment for Personal Training and Active Rehab clients in our private clinic. Our services extend beyond our facilities to the community through virtual training, aquatic therapy, office ergonomics and workplace wellness. Scheduling, rebooking and some billing is up to you, mastering Jane app will help. Communication is king. We relay goals and progress with clients, chart after each client session and communicate with clients in person, or via email and phone to schedule sessions. You get the opportunity to meet with all staff weekly, do 1-to-1 mentorship sessions and quarterly check-in with your managers. You are responsible for client files including communicating with ICBC claim owners and health professionals about recommendations and scheduling. Staff motivate, provide accountability, and sell packages to clients. We always work within treatment recommendations. Rock an upbeat Spotify playlists and keep the studio super clean and tidy. When you join the team at Symmetrix, we provide you with a competitive hourly wage, opportunities for in-service credits, and you can use the facility for your personal use when there are no clients in-studio.

We must always uphold our medical practices to the highest possible standards including privacy, workplace conduct and accountability Communicating strategically with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, lawyers and claim specialists Being available for clients and working with their schedules Mastering new skills like aquatic therapy, ergonomic assessments and group workshops Being an active participant in case studies at staff meetings Working as a team when taking leave or covering for another kinesiologist Building positive working relationships with clients and managing

Our Ideal CandidateYou have:



An undergrad or higher degree in kinesiology 1+ year(s) experience providing kinesiology services including personal training and/or rehab Current standing in the BCAK including professional liability insurance Standard First Aid Solid written and spoken communication skills A positive personality and willingness to support others Compassion, creativity and a drive for lifelong learning

You are:



Available evenings to work at our Burnaby location, Saturday hours are a huge plus Interest in Aquatic Therapy, and leading sessions at the pool Eager to grow a roster of clients at our studio Comfortable communicating with physiotherapists and other referral partners Comfortable with maintaining a flexible schedule, especially for the first 3 months Comfortable with selling sessions and packages Interested in a kinesiology and/or a management career Someone with willingness to attract new clients A tidy and conscientious person

For the past 10 years, Dasha has helped hundreds of ICBC, Worksafe BC, pain-program, personal training and corporate clients. She was named Kinesiologist of the Year for 2021 by the CKA.
