Kindergarten Teacher



REPORTS TO:

Head of School

Key Responsibilities



Strong instructional and classroom management skills must be attentive to kindergarten age students. Passionate about education; innovative, and positive in the face of challenges. Committed to continuously improving through professional development. Strong communicator who keeps parents informed of all student needs and achievements.

Other Responsibilities



Must be proficient in educational technology. Ability to effectively communicate with parents on a regular basis. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to function in dual capacity as a teacher with students and support the administrative side of this role as a teacher. Collaborative practitioner who works well with colleagues. Ability to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications and Experience



A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred). Certification in child CPR (or willing to become certified). Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms. Must be able to produce at least two written professional references. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
