Eligibility
In order to teach in Alberta, teachers must be certified through Alberta Education. A successful candidate would also have experience in following the Teaching Quality Standard (TQS) and infusing literacy and STEM across the curriculum.

Position Description
1.0 FTE: Kindergarten (this is a half day program) and Music (grade 1-6) teacher in inclusive classroom environments.
Qualifications Education and Experience

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Bachelor of Education Degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education
• Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and lesson design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of student learning (ie. PowerTeacherPro, PowerSchool)
• Knowledge of human behaviour and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation (please note that experience with the creation, implementation and review of Individualized Program Plans is an asset)
• Knowledge and awareness of group behaviour and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures
• Passion for teaching music (looking to incorporate ukuleles into our music program) and engaging students is an asset
