Job Title:
Kids All Ball Coach, Ages 3-5
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Kids All Ball Coach to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring young athletes in our All Ball program, a multi-sport class for preschoolers. Instruction focuses on the basic skills common to all sports such as balance, coordination, stamina and timing. The All Ball coach will create a fun, supportive, non-competitive atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and is responsible for creating varies programming that focuses on different sports each class.
All Ball classes run Thursdays 10:15-11am and 11:15am-12pm, Fridays 1pm-1:45pm.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training programs for emerging athletes
Organize and lead classes, including warm-ups, drills, and games
Mentor and motivate emerging athletes to achieve their full potential
Provide feedback and guidance to emerging athletes on their performance
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
Previous experience coaching kids aged 3-5 years
Passion for working with children
Strong experience with and knowledge of various sports and stages of physical development.
Compassionate, caring individual exhibiting excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to motivate, encourage and inspire young athletes
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work flexible daytime hours, no evenings or weekends
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Vulnerable sector police check (or willingness to obtain)
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Working toward or achievement of a bachelor's degree in sports science, physical education, or a related field is preferred.
Coaching certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time. Must also be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Salary:
$30/class. Classes are 45 minutes plus set up, take down and planning.
