Position Summary:

Open to senior undergraduate and graduate students, Teaching Assistants (TAs) support the delivery of undergraduate courses by providing instructors with qualified graduate or senior undergraduate students who can assist with: marking assignments and exams/quizzes; invigilating exams, delivery of laboratory experiences; leading seminars; or in specialized situations (SI delivery, writing clinics). Official TA duties and timelines are set by each instructor.



Applicants must be available to attend class as required by the instructor in order to gain a better understanding of the content and expectations of the assignments/exams in the class. Hours will be allocated in the appointment for this mandatory requirement.



Applicants must be available for the entirety of the semester. Specific details will be discussed with the instructor at the time of appointment, but will include in-person invigilating of midterm and final exams and presence in class as needed. If you have a planned absence, indicate in the application where specified. Note: This could impact the ability to be assigned TA hours.

Position Requirements:

Students must be in good academic standing (Undergraduate - 70% PGPA; Graduate - Fully Qualified) and available as required for the position(s) where application is indicated. Preference provided to students in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies (KHS). For current KHS graduate students and undergraduate honours students, you must confirm availability with your supervisor before accepting any offers. Your supervisor may be copied with offer correspondence. Successful applicants are required to attend a minimum of 12 hours of lectures associated with the appointment. Successful applicants are required to assist with in-person examination invigilating (midterms and finals), as applicable.





In most instances, applicants must demonstrate proficient knowledge of the subject area being sought. Formal coursework and/or experience will be considered.
