GROBE'S NURSERY AND GARDEN CENTRE

is Waterloo Region's largest independently owned year round garden centre and gift shop. In operation for more then 60 years of year round operation, our 6-acre retail garden centre is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the renewed interest in gardening and outdoor living.

KEY STORE PERSON WANTED

The tremendous growth in popularity and interest in gardening means we must grow too! Summer may be a bit slower paced, but there is much to learn and do ahead of our transition through our busy fall and Christmas seasons, and we are looking for a personable individual to join our store team on a permanent basis and 'grow' into a valued member of our team as soon as possible.

While accurate cashier transactions are a core component, the successful applicant will be outgoing and enjoy meeting people, will help create and maintain seasonal displays, manage hard good inventory stocks, process receivings, and help folks to enjoy their Grobe shopping experience. More than just a 'cashier job', the right individual will be a key part of a team responsible for sales, customer service and store product selection. We actively train to improve knowledge and skills with those wishing to improve and grow in expertise.

Working hours are flexible, are seasonally adjusted, and do require evening and weekend work (most crucially during our peak periods). Please indicate any visual merchandising, customer service, decorating, floral/Christmas arranging, gardening or any other related experiences that you have and that you would love to grow and share with us working here. Salary is commensurate with experience, flexibility and skills brought to the position. We offer a generous staff discount to to help offset any gardening addiction you might have.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$19.25 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
