Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced restaurant Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of our restaurant establishment, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient management of staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer engagement. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation while driving sales through effective upselling techniques.

Duties

Assist in managing daily store operations, including staff scheduling and training Oversee food preparation processes to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for transactions and inventory management Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Train staff on food handling procedures and best practices in customer interaction Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimize waste Implement upselling strategies to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in a retail or restaurant environment is preferred Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and build rapport with customers Experience with food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also taking initiative when necessary

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
