Reporting to the Sales Manager - Americas, the Key Account Manager role is to expand the sales for the territory of North America and to provide scientific expertise to our business partners.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sales growth of your accounts in North Americas and the profit they will generate.
- Regularly visit clients for establishing and developing a strong relationships at multiple levels.
- Build and maintain a relationship of trust with clients by providing them scientific & technical support along with market/consumer updates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on new probiotic science and market developments to convey the expertise of the company.
- Initiate the development of customized formulations that are unique and that meet client\'s needs, and evaluate their cost.
- Prepare complex commercial offers; negotiate and manage sales contracts.
- Identify and be proactive in problem solving in order to assure excellent customer service.
- Conceive tutorial documentation for clients.
- Prospect the market and initiate new collaborations.
- On a monthly basis, analyze and present business results, establish sales forecasts.
- Propose sales and expenses budget for the following fiscal year & assure their achievement.
- Attend to different promotional events such as congress, meetings, tradeshows and other events.
- Collaborate with different internal departments of the company (production planning, marketing, research and development, regulatory, co-packers, scientific affairs and others).
- Work as part of a team to contribute to the collective performance and success of the company.
- Ensure that all activities are in line within the corporate compliance guidelines.
- Participate in various special projects.
Required profil
- Hold a bachelor\'s degree in sciences or business/project management. Master\'s degree would be an asset.
- Have more than five (5) years of experience in B2B sales positions in the natural health products, dietary supplements, food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in managing major account is an important asset.
- Knowledge of the Dietary Supplements market in Americas is required.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral, French and English).
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and able to manage complex projects.
- Leadership and business skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to convert trends into new product concepts.
- Proactive, professional, autonomous, resourceful and a strong team player.
Job conditions
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (with some short Fridays);
- Hybrid work (2 days home-based);
