Stinson is looking for a Key Account Manager to join our team, supporting and growing our partnership with Microsoft. Reporting to the Account Director, this role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth management of projects through our design team, working closely with design and content consultants. You will effectively provide strategic solutions with a dedicated focus on the client experience, while nurturing the client relationship and facilitating overall growth of the account. This is an intermediate level position, requiring leadership and experience working in fast paced, client-focused agency environments. A successful candidate will demonstrate solid business acumen, inspired strategic thinking, and exceptional organization & management skills.

We support the global executive leadership team headquartered in Seattle on a multitude of initiatives and annual flagship event keynotes throughout the year. Some events we support include Build, Inspire, and Ignite, which reach physical and digital audiences of hundreds of thousands around the world. Our team of designers and consultants work directly with Microsoft\'s executives, as well as with art directors, content teams, engineers, production studios, and sales & marketing contacts across the organization. From Azure to Modern Work to Data & Compliance and more, we are a trusted, go-to partner for Microsoft.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations for your key account, including overseeing projects, communicating processes and progress, managing budgets/reports, consulting with and educating the client, building the relationship, supporting the creative team where needed, and so on.
  • Continuously improve client relationships and drive client satisfaction and success, demonstrated through retention, growth, and positive feedback.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively take actions or propose solutions that maximize business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge and apply expertise to specific business challenges.
  • Understand business offerings and services in order to provide relevant and accurate project proposals, including budget, timelines, and so on.
  • Lead and attend key meetings with clients and designers/consultants, including internal project briefs, project kickoff meetings, bi-weekly client check-ins, and so on.
  • Collaborate with project managers and creative teams to manage timelines, budget, and strategy on each deliverable.
  • Document and communicate client feedback to assess any actions for improvement.
  • Serve as the intermediary between clients and internal teams, facilitating conflict resolution and spearheading crisis communications to devise strategic solutions.
  • Maintain the CRM database for your account, ensuring all client and project information is accurate and updated in real-time.
  • Track and present project reports to client stakeholders, proactively addressing any updates or concerns.
  • Meet account KPI\'s and facilitate profitable delivery of services.
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to clients and the Account Director on all accounts.
  • Participate in regular 1:1 reviews with the Account Director, preparing any key client concerns for discussion and sharing status updates.
Skills & Experience:
  • 2-4 years of agency experience as an Account Manager (or equivalent), preferably in design, communications, media/advertising, or related industry
  • Experience in tech, professional services is beneficial
  • University or College degree/diploma in business, project management, or related field
  • Experience overseeing projects through the creative process, ensuring they are on strategy, on time, and on budget
  • Strong understanding of planning, project management, event management, and creative production processes
  • Familiarity with CRM, project management, and design tools is a plus
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and overseeing key accounts, with a strong ability to multitask and maneuver from one topic to the next
  • Unparalleled attention to detail and critical thinking/strategic problem solving skills
  • Excellent financial management skills with a rigorous approach to reports and reconciliation
  • Exceptional ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and driven self starter with a demonstrated ability to take direction and apply feedback quickly
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, positively contributing to client and team success
