second-in-command
. This is more than just an assistant position -- it's an opportunity to work closely with the lead manager and owner and take on real responsibility in daily operations and team leadership.

What You'll Do:
Help oversee day-to-day operations of the kennel facility
Step in as acting manager when the lead manager is off-site
Provide hands-on animal care -- feeding, exercising, administering medications
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for pets and staff
Manage supplies
Deliver excellent customer service to pet owners
Support, motivate, and guide the kennel team
Ensure every animal's comfort, safety, and well-being
What We're Looking For:
1+ year of management experience required
(preferably in animal care)
Previous experience in kennels, shelters, or veterinary facilities is preferred
Confident leading a team and stepping into full responsibility when needed
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic computer skills are an asset
Most importantly: a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare
