KELOWNA JAIL CELL GUARD

Must be able to obtain an RCMP Clearance. This process can take up to 4 months before you can start working in the Kelowna Jail Cells.

As a successful candidate you must meet the physical requirements of the job, clear criminal record check, pass enhanced security clearance requirements, be highly reliable, have excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills and possess excellent customer service skills.

Some of your responsibilities include:

\xc2\xb7 Performing cell checks;

\xc2\xb7 Data Entry;

\xc2\xb7 Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents;

\xc2\xb7 Monitoring Cameras and Fingerprinting services;

\xc2\xb7 Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts;

\xc2\xb7 Assisting and processing residents

\xc2\xb7 Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor;

\xc2\xb7 Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards.

\xc2\xb7 Residing in Canada for a minimum of 5 years
