Weidner Apartment Homes is hiring for a K9 Security Patrol Officer to add to our Team. The ideal candidate has a background in security (private or public), armed forces or law enforcement. The core responsibility of the position is to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients through patrolling and monitoring several properties and personnel. As a K9 Handler, you would be assigned a trained K9 and applicable training would be provided to yourself and the K9 as a team together. Job Duties: Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; removing trespassers. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls. Maintains organization\xe2\x80\x99s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 24/7 Care of your trained K9 partner. Garbage pick-up and graffiti removal. Or other duties as assigned.
