to join our production team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with solid welding experience who is also comfortable supporting general production activities, including mechanical assembly, grinding, and assisting with CNC and milling machine operations. The successful candidate will be adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
welding operations
(e.g., MIG/TIG, as applicable) in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Support
mechanical assembly
of fabricated and machined components
Carry out
grinding, deburring, and finishing
operations to ensure parts meet quality and safety requirements
Assist in the setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of
CNC machines and milling machines
Load/unload parts, monitor machine cycles, and perform basic measurements and inspections
Read and interpret
engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules
Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or process improvements to supervisors
Required Qualifications & Skills
1-5 years of experience as a
welder
in a manufacturing or production environment
Experience with
MIG and/or TIG welding
(certification is an asset but not mandatory)
Basic experience or strong interest in
CNC and milling machine operations
Mechanical aptitude and experience with
mechanical assembly
Comfortable using
hand tools, grinders, and measuring instruments
(calipers, tape measures, etc.)
Ability to read and understand
technical drawings and schematics
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling materials safely
Preferred (Assets)
Welding certification (e.g., CWB, AWS, or equivalent)
Previous experience in a
mixed production environment
(welding + machining)
Basic CNC programming knowledge or machining coursework
Forklift or shop equipment certification
