Rempel Engineering & Management Ltd. (REM) is currently seeking a permanent full time, 40 hours per week, Junior/Intermediate Design Technologist in our Saskatoon office. The successful candidate will assist both the structural engineering & building design departments with the design and drafting in commercial, and industrial sectors. The candidate will be required to work with the structural engineers & building design team in producing of designs/drawings for permit and construction. The candidate will be expected to work both independently and within the project group to facilitate the design requirements to reach project completion. The candidate will also be encouraged to take on special project tasks to help promote efficiencies of current design procedures and will have the opportunity to attend occasional site visits.

Duties & Responsibilities
Become familiar with design guidelines, standards, and regulations associated with building design and structural engineering,
Accept technical guidance from designers, technologists, and senior staff,
Work within the project team environment from preliminary stages of the design through to completion,
Use CAD and or REVIT software and drafting tools to generate detailed layouts and blueprints for structural components
Coordinate building design & structural aspects of projects with other discipline designs and drawings,
Revise designs based on feedback from engineers or clients while maintaining project timeline,
Complete drawings and documents in conformance with building code and office standards,
Other tasks as assigned by Structural/ Building Design Lead
Occasional site visits as required,
Comply with all company standards, policies and procedures.
