Your Role:
We are currently seeking an HVAC Mechanical Engineer for our Pickering, Ontario office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:
  • Candidate will be responsible for the design of industrial HVAC building service systems, including but not limited to equipment sizing, ducting layouts and connection details.
  • Will be responsible for preparing and reviewing design packages including calculations, technical specifications, drawings and bill of materials.
  • Will seal drawings and develop cost estimates.
  • Evaluates the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Preparation and/or verification of procurement activities and deliverables.
  • Review technical content of supplier bids and technical submissions
  • Perform any required inspections as necessary for procurement of material.
  • Responsibilities may also include the supervision of designers and drafters.
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites


Qualifications:
  • 4+ years\' experience in building services particularly with HVAC.
  • Must be familiar with building codes and standards, including ASHRAE.
  • Knowledge of specialized software in HVAC as well as proficiency in MS Office.
  • In depth understanding of conceptual and detailed design of building services systems.
  • Experience within the nuclear engineering consulting environment is considered an asset.
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Must be a licensed ore eligible to be a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Federal Government Security Clearance (Level II).
