The Junior Web Development Lead plays a dual role, combining hands-on development with team leadership. They are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining websites and web applications. Web Developers will determine implementation tasks from project requirements provided to them by the Web Development Manager and Project Manager and will work to complete those tasks either alone or as a member of a team.

Hiring ongoing -- Contract position until December 31st (option to extend contract until March 31, 2026, depending on the candidate's availability and interest)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development of websites and web applications that meet client requirements.
Cooperate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Oversee the entire development lifecycle of web applications, from prototyping to implementation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and ensure deadlines are met while quality is maintained.
Provide guidance, mentorship and support to Associate Web Developers, fostering their growth and development.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, setting an example for coding best practices and industry standards within the team.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with web applications.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
Attend daily standup meetings with team members.
Participate in soft skills workshops.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Hybrid with frequent meetings through Microsoft Teams.
Mandatory attendance is required for technical and soft skills workshops.
Must be able to work remotely with a stable internet connection
Attend occasional in-person meetings or team events when requested.
Use of standard office and web development tools daily.
Flexible scheduling may be required to accommodate team priorities or client deadlines.

Please Note: No prior experience is required, however, knowledge of the following is beneficial.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Background in computer science or a related field.
Experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
Experience with a front-end JavaScript framework like React, Angular or Vue
Experience with content management systems or database services such as Postgres, PayloadCMS, Supabase and Strapi.
Experience building a complete website or web application, either professionally or as a hobby.
