Responsibilities and Duties: \xc2\xb7 Developing truss layout designs using MiTek SAPPHIRE software. \xc2\xb7 Creating structural component designs for engineers to seal and production to manufacture. \xc2\xb7 Communicating and working between departments to coordinate projects. \xc2\xb7 Communication with architects and engineers when necessary for specific design requirements. \xc2\xb7 Interpret construction plans, building supplies plans and information, apply these files for quotes and production. \xc2\xb7 Performs other duties as required. Requirements and Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 Graduate from an architectural, civil or construction engineering technology program (mechanical engineering graduates not accepted). \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Ontario Building Code is required. \xc2\xb7 Extremely detail oriented. \xc2\xb7 Functional math and computer skills. \xc2\xb7 Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. \xc2\xb7 Excellent professional work ethic \xc2\xb7 Must have a positive attitude and be a team player to support the team with demands and deadlines. \xc2\xb7 Have a creative mindset and be able to think outside of the box. \xc2\xb7 Work experience in the construction or engineering and truss industry is an asset. \xc2\xb7 MiTek SAPPHIRE software experience is an asset. \xc2\xb7 Understanding of Truss Plant Institute of Canada is an asset.
