The Position
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Junior Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting assigned business areas by managing both administrative and technical functions. As the first point of contact for internal users, this role provides frontline technical support for Taproot Community Support Services' business systems, troubleshooting issues, assisting with system access, and ensuring users receive timely assistance. The Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for monitoring, managing, and resolving the IT ticket queue, ensuring requests are prioritized, addressed efficiently, and resolved in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).The role includes monitoring, maintaining, and updating communication and IT equipment such as phones, cellphones, printers, and computers to ensure seamless operations. The role is also responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing asset lifecycles, and conducting data audits to identify and resolve discrepancies. In addition, the Junior Systems Administrator may occasionally assist with SharePoint-related tasks, such as supporting the design and optimization of forms and documents using tools like Adobe and Microsoft Forms to help improve workflow efficiency. Exposure to or interest in this area is an asset. The position requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to support system functionality and user experience.
