Summary
(Summary) We are seeking a motivated Junior System Engineer to join our dynamic team in British Columbia. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our systems, ensuring they meet the high standards that define Weatherhaven's reputation. Your work will be integral in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional portable shelter solutions.
Responsibilities
Support development of requirements for small and medium sized projects (Work with Engineering during product development to ensure that requirements are satisfied.
Participate in and contribute to design reviews and review design documentation.
Clearly communicate with co-workers and customers though technical. submissions including presentations, technical notes and in person meetings.
Work with Engineering to assist in planning for First Article manufacturing / assembly and testing of complex systems.
Generate technical documentation that may include quality inspections, test plans, test reports, product manuals.
Generate Engineering Change Procedures, Requests for Waiver / Deviations.
Apply sound engineering judgement to find resolutions to issues while still meeting requirements.
Work directly with suppliers on product development and verification of direct and indirect requirements.
Qualifications
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a suitable engineering discipline.
Must possess a strong aptitude for mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a professionally organized product development engineering team.
Ability to register as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer with EGCB is mandatory, existing registration is a bonus. Current status will determine 'Engineer' vs 'Technologist' designation for this position.
Knowledge and demonstrated ability to apply fundamental engineering principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills.
Must have a clean driver's license and passport without travel restrictions.
Ability to hold a Government of Canada security clearance.
