Our mandate is to create educational materials for Northern schools that are culturally appropriate and grounded in pedagogical research and experience.

Junior System Administrator.
This position will help design, implement hardware and software, and assist in developing advanced and efficient ways to solve many of the business problems.
The successful candidate is required to be in the office Mon-Fri and have the ability to travel.
Responsibilities
Resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and peripherals.
Diagnosing and replacing major hardware components for standard Windows and MacOS workstations.
Configuring and customizing workstations for various specific needs.
Develop and maintain local networks in ways that ensure optimal performance.
Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance for employee workstations and servers.
Provide support to employees remotely with proper orientation and guidance .
The ability to troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues.
Documentation of ticketing procedures and resolution notes via our ticketing system.
Working with other departments of the organization to ensure timely resolution of employee issues.
Expertise in operating systems like Windows Server, Linux and macOS.
Strong understanding of system security, firewalls and data protection practices.
Ability to identify hardware and software problems efficiently.
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.
Analytical thinking and attention to detail for troubleshooting and system optimization.
Technical Skills
Support knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft Operating Systems.
Support knowledge of iOS and MacOS and respective hardware.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP in LAN/WAN technologies (DHCP, DNS, etc.).
PC installations and configurations, network configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Adobe Applications, WAN printers, networking, and mobile technologies.
Configure/support printers, copiers, IP NAS backups, and other peripherals.
Backup/restore end-user systems.
VPN and remote user connectivity support.
Good organizational skills, ability to systemize and prioritize.
Working knowledge of WHM, cPanel and Wordpress and website content management.
Requirements
Related degree or diploma welcome, in Computer Science or Computer Hardware, Networking and Security.
Ability to travel to various locations using your own vehicle. The candidate would occasionally travel to Belleville and Caledonia. The candidate may also need to travel to Iqaluit, Nunavut, at times. But a trip to Iqaluit is uncommon.
