Job Overview

The Junior Supervisor supports the Senior Supervisor by executing daily operational tasks, supervising employees, and ensuring production runs smoothly. This role focuses on hands-on supervision, compliance with food safety standards, and providing support to the team for successful operations.

Responsibilities

Leadership (20%)

Assist in ensuring team members are punctual and properly positioned at the start of their shifts. Monitor employee performance and address attendance or behavior issues as needed. Provide support for training and onboarding of new employees, as directed by the Senior Supervisor. Foster a positive and respectful work environment by addressing concerns and escalating issues to the Senior Supervisor. Communicate with Maintenance, QA, and other departments as necessary to support operations.

Operations (80%)

Gather and document flock information at the start of the shift. Perform initial checks on live birds and walk through the evisceration and live end areas. Assist the set up the evisceration room and monitor equipment to ensure readiness for production. Monitor live bird welfare and address any issues promptly. Support in maintaining production and quality logs, including red zone and live end reports. Conduct routine QA checks and assist with passing MPIP tests. Assist with lot changes and monitor reprocessing areas. Ensure cleanliness of areas during and after shifts, coordinating with operators or cleaning staff. Address equipment or process issues and coordinate with Maintenance to resolve them. Monitor employees and record start and end times for production. Provide real-time support to operators and adjust staffing as necessary to maintain productivity. Monitor employee performance and address attendance or behavior issues as needed. Provide support for training and onboarding of new employees, as directed by the Senior Supervisor. Foster a positive and respectful work environment by addressing concerns and escalating issues to the Senior Supervisor. Communicate with Maintenance, QA, and other departments as necessary to support operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
