Job Description

Position: Structural Product Designer

Kinetic Solar is a leading Canadian manufacturer of solar racking. We are looking for a recent engineering graduate to join our team and help to develop structural products.

Junior Structural Product Designer

Responsibilities:

Preliminary design and evaluation of structural products/projects Writing and review of technical literature and documentation Build and validate prototypes 3D Rendering and design simulation Juggling multiple ongoing projects in addition to daily tasks Ability to work under minimal supervision Structural system configuration

Required:

Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) AutoCAD RISA 3D or other structural modeling software an asset Excellent English verbal and written communication skills Strong aptitude and intuition for structural design Machine shop/construction experience an asset Passionate about renewable energy Other duties as assigned
Our hours are 8:30a-5p Monday to Thursday and 8:30a-3p on Friday.
