Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be a strong and positive leader, who is fundamental in assisting the Head Chef in managing operations, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
This position requires a passion for providing an outstanding product, a commitment to food safety, dedication to presentation, and a collaborative spirit to foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities



Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food prep and cooking techniques. Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness & organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on proper food handling procedures and safety practices. Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Handle customer complaints or issues related to food service promptly, professionally and in a positive manner.

Skills



At least 1 year experience in a Junior Sous Chef or CDP role 4-5 years of Professional Culinary experience Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef. Demonstrative ability to prepare and cook dishes from scratch to a high standard. Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Excellent leadership capabilities, fostering a positive team environment. Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management and cost control. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations. Outstanding Knife skills. Ability to supervise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability to engage with customers in an Open Kitchen environment in a friendly, professional and energetic manner.
