Robert Half is recruiting now for a Junior Software Developer (DevOps) for our Calgary Client. As the successful candidate you will utilize your knowledge of AWS/Azure, Docker for the maintenance and optimization of current tools and systems. Our client is based in the Calgary, Alberta area but this role is available for remote work permissions for eligible candidates.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 2 years' + experience/education in software development with good knowledge and working ability in AWS/Azure, Docker, etc.
• Experience building & managing CI/CD tools
• Strong working experience with Jenkins & Artifactory, GitLab, Python
• Solid working experience and understanding of Ansible automated infrastructure tool and framework
• Working ability and experience in using and setting up Docker containers alongside Kubernetes
• Experience with the implementation of dashboards based on existing datasets for DevOps purposes
• Knowledge and ability with source control like Git, Mercurial, or Team Foundation Server
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a clear ability to work within a team
• Motivated, with a positive attitude and an adaptable, creative mindset
• Commitment for establishing and promoting best practices and standards
• Post-secondary education in a relatable field

NICE TO HAVE:

• Exposure to SAAS platforms is considered a definite asset
• Knowledge and development experience with React or Node.js is a plus
