ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) or commercial construction experience

constant scope review in the field
. Strong drawing-reading skills and practical site understanding are essential.
These positions play a key role in managing multiple moving parts across the project and maintaining accurate field-to-office communication.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Support & Scope Review
Conduct regular field walks to review scope, progress, installation quality, and conformance to drawings.
Assist site teams with coordinating day-to-day activities across multiple areas.
Identify issues, missing scope, or discrepancies and provide timely updates to project leadership.
Support quantity verification, progress tracking, and field documentation.
Ensure construction activities meet project specifications and industry standards.
Project Coordination & Documentation
Support planning, scheduling, and tracking of construction activities and deliverables.
Maintain and organize project documentation (scopes, schedules, drawings, RFIs, change orders, etc.).
Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and progress summaries.
Assist with submittals, RFIs, and change management processes.
Ensure all documentation meets client and company requirements.
Construction Management Support
Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents for accuracy.
Assist with bid preparation, quote reviews, and subcontractor documentation.
Coordinate vendor, supplier, and subcontractor requirements, including insurance and contract compliance.
Support cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly progress draws.
Attend coordination and construction meetings and document outcomes.
Assist with project close-out (as-builts, manuals, turnover packages).
Coordination & Team Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, consultants, and sub-trades.
Maintain professional communication with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.
Technology & Systems
Utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar).
Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Knowledge of scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera) is an asset.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture
, or related field.
1-3 years
of experience in
commercial or ICI construction
.
CET designation is an asset. (
Certified Engineering Technologist
)
Strong ability to read and interpret drawings.
Solid understanding of field construction activities.
Experience in
automotive or industrial construction
is preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
