Junior Service Writer.
As part of our growth strategy and to better serve our distributors and customers, we are hiring a Junior Service Writer. This job provides comprehensive support to both our internal technicians and our valued customers regarding the troubleshooting, maintenance, pre-delivery inspection, and repair of e-JEST electric buses and diesel coaches. This role demands a keen attention to detail, a strong interest in the automotive industry, and exceptional problem-solving skills to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our fleet.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that safety is the top priority in all activities performed.
Speak to customers in a friendly and professional manner and address their service needs in a timely manner.
Act as the primary point of contact between the customer and the service department.
Create and manage service orders, ensuring proper documentation for each job.
Accurately write up vehicle concerns and relay technical information to service technicians.
Provide clear, detailed estimates to customers for vehicle services and repairs.
Stay informed on the latest automotive technologies, particularly in electric vehicles (EVs) and transit operations.
Coordinate the scheduling of vehicle services, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.
Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle's service or repairs.
Manage customer complaints or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
Ensure that customer expectations are met by providing high-quality service and follow-up.
Maintain knowledge of company policies, warranty programs, and manufacturer recalls.
Review completed repair orders for accuracy before presenting to the customer.
Uphold the company's commitment to exceptional customer service and satisfaction.

Skills that would make you the preferential candidate:
Previous experience in automotive service writing, service coordination, or service advising.
Knowledge of transit operations and vehicle fleet management is a significant plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using service management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in service documentation and estimates.
Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and repair processes.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive certifications or training is a plus.
