We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electronic Security Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and support of electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarm systems. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow their technical skills in a professional and supportive environment.
What you'll do
Assist in the installation and wiring of security systems such as CCTV cameras, access control panels, intercoms, and intrusion alarms.
Pull, terminate, and label cables according to project specifications.
Support senior technicians during system setup, programming, and testing.
Mount and adjust security devices (cameras, card readers, sensors) to ensure correct positioning and coverage.
Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in resolving installation or connectivity issues.
Follow safety and quality standards at all job sites.
Maintain organized work areas and handle tools and materials responsibly.
Document daily work progress, material usage, and any site-related issues.
Assist with system commissioning and verification to ensure all components operate as expected.
Communicate effectively with team members, site supervisors, and project managers.
Learn and develop technical knowledge in system configuration, networking, and diagnostics.
Provide basic on-site customer support while maintaining a professional attitude.
Complete installations/Service to ACTS standards
Basic qualifications
Basic knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, IT, Network and willingness to learn.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Must be able to meet or surpass security clearance (CPIC or equivalent)
Ability in install and wire up the field equipment such as Camera, Card Reader, Door Contact ,....
Ability to run and fish cables in various types of environments.
Ability to read and follow drawings and wiring diagrams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must hold a valid Class G driver's license and be able to travel to job sites.

Travel to various customer sites across the GTA (industrial, commercial, construction sites, etc.), coming to the office/warehouse when necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
