Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC), one of Canada's leading independent schools, is seeking a dynamic, caring, and collaborative Grade 4 Long-Term Occasional (LTO) Teacher to join our Junior School team. About the Role


As a member of HSC's Junior School, you'll join a vibrant community of educators who believe that learning should be active, meaningful, and connected to the world around us. Our Grade 4 program nurtures independence and critical thinking while emphasizing kindness, empathy, and global citizenship.





The successful candidate will:


Design and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons across core subjects, aligned with HSC's mission and values. Foster a classroom environment that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity. Integrate technology and hands-on learning to deepen understanding and support diverse learners. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues to support each child's learning journey. Contribute to the broader life of the school from assemblies and co-curriculars to community initiatives that make learning come alive.
Qualifications and Attributes


Bachelor of Education and OCT certification (Primary/Junior qualifications preferred). A proven ability to inspire curiosity and confidence in young learners. Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and assessment for learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Enthusiasm for collaboration within a team-oriented, forward-thinking school community. A commitment to HSC's values of respect, integrity, and belonging.
