Canada Stampings specializes in producing high-quality, built-to-print steel components for tier-1 automotive suppliers across North America. We specialize in complex assemblies, including high-precision stamping, deep draw stamping, robotic assembly, welding, and tooling services. With press lines up to 600 tonnes, a fully-equipped tool room, and a state-of-the-art quality lab, were dedicated to delivering reliable and innovative solutions that meet the highest safety standards.
We are looking for a Junior Quality Technician to join our Quality Assurance team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Auditing Dock, Product, Process audits & system audits as applicable. (LPA, CQI, Systems)
Receiving Audits Raw Material and Subcontractor
Provide support on daily production quality issues as they arise on the shop floor
Execution of visual aids
IISs for each process and product (for all work centers from press to packaging)
Rework Instructions
Creating, training and issuing Quality Alerts
Creation of sort/rework instructions & operator/inspector orientation for rework
Coordination of Safe Launch activity (ie. GP-12)
Responsible for daily review and coordination of Held product. (ie. MRB)
Assist in Corrective Action / Problem Solving/ Continual Improvements
Gauge Program
Manage work instructions and labeling gauges & storage locations
Participate Gauge R&R studies
Responsible for weld integrity inspections and maintenance of documents to support activity
Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly inventory of the Held area (managing the area, transactions of product in/out)
Maintain QA lab neatness and functionality
Provide support to QA Techs
Comply with company policies and procedures
Other tasks as assigned by management
Must be able to work swing shift and weekends if needed
Initial Qualifications for Hire:
Must have:
Grade 12 diploma
Efficient in Computer skills
Strong organizational skills
Preference:
Basic knowledge of fixtures
Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and Internal Auditing
Experience in manufacturing quality assurance
