supports the Quality Department by performing inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure that products meet company standards and customer requirements. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates or those with early-stage QC/QA experience who are detail-oriented and eager to grow within a manufacturing or production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
Use basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, checklists, etc.) to verify product specifications.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain clear, organized quality records.
Enter and update inspection data using computer-based forms, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
Identify, report, and tag non-conforming materials in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with investigations into quality issues and support corrective/preventive action activities.
Follow established quality standards, SOPs, and work instructions.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant inspection area.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns.
Participate in training sessions to build knowledge of products, inspection techniques, and quality systems.
Qualifications:
Technology college diploma or equivalent trades, technical or quality control training.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or quality control preferred (not required for entry-level).
Ability to read drawings, specifications, or work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Computer literacy, including basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing/writing tools.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CAD viewers is considered a strong asset.
Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25-40 lbs depending on site requirements.
Use of hands for handling tools and small components.
