Position: Junior Project Manager/Leader
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

About the Engagement
The Junior Project Manager/Leader will support the successful delivery of the Public Safety Radio Network (PSRN) project. The resource will work closely with senior project leadership, ministry partners, vendors, and stakeholders to coordinate activities, maintain project documentation, manage tracking tools, and ensure alignment with project objectives. This role requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and experience supporting large, complex projects within public sector or telecommunications environments.
Scope
The Junior Project Manager/Leader will:
Support the Senior Project Manager in managing, tracking, and updating complex project components.
Assist with scheduling, risk tracking, deliverables management, and documentation.
Collaborate with project teams and ministry partners to ensure completion of project activities.
Provide support to ensure the successful delivery of the PSRN project.
Assignment Deliverables
Updated schedules, milestones, project lists, and tracking documents.
Meeting support: agendas, minutes, action logs, RACI charts, and follow-up tracking.
Updated project dashboards, reports, status summaries, and presentations.
Risk and issue documentation, including recommended mitigation options.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Minimum 2 years of project management experience supporting large or complex initiatives.
Experience coordinating project activities, schedules, risks, issues, and deliverables.
Strong communication skills with the ability to support meetings, document minutes, actions, and follow-ups.
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other standard PM tools.
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including vendors, ministry partners, and technical teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
Experience in broader public-sector (OPS/BPS) governance environments.
Familiarity with network design, implementation, or migration activities.
Experience developing stakeholder dashboards and visual reports (e.g., Power BI).
