DASCH is a non-profit organization established in 1974 dedicated to exploring and meeting the residential, day program, respite and foster care needs of youth and adults. All our programs are based in Winnipeg. This role is ideal for an early-career analyst who enjoys translating HR needs into clear requirements, turning data into insights, and making Workday simpler for everyone to use.


Position Summary





We're looking for a Junior People Systems Analyst to support and continuously improve Workday HCM and related people processes. You will gather and document business requirements, assist with configuration, build reports and dashboards, support testing and releases, and help end-users get the most from Workday. You'll partner closely with HR and Payroll, coordinating with IT or vendors only when needed.


Skills & Qualifications




1-3 years in HCM/HRIS or business analysis (internships and co-op count); Workday exposure strongly preferred. Understanding of HR operations and Canadian payroll concepts; curiosity to learn deeper over time. Comfortable with requirements writing, process mapping, and testing basics. Reporting skills in Workday; strong Excel; bonus if you've touched calculated fields. Clear communicator who can translate between HR users and technical partners; solid documentation habits. Nice to haves: + Business Analyst certifications/qualifications.
+ Experience with Non-Profit organizations and/or 24/7 scheduling environments.
+ Workday Pro Certification(s).
+ Workflow Systems experience.

Work Hours:




Full Time, Monday to Friday Office-based role

Wage:

Annual salary starting at $53,000.00

Role & Responsibilities




Intake & Requirements - Facilitate brief discovery with HR/Payroll leaders to capture pain points, map current/future states, and write user stories/acceptance criteria. Workday Configuration (guided) - Assist with configuration in core HCM modules (e.g., organizations, jobs, positions), Absence/Time, and Security (role requests), under senior guidance. Reporting & Analytics - Build and maintain Workday reports/dashboards; perform basic data analysis and quality checks; support audit and compliance reporting. Testing & Releases - Prepare test scripts, execute unit/UAT, log defects, and support bi-annual release assessments (feature review, impact notes, change log). Data Quality - Run routine audits (terminations, positions, compensation, security assignments) and coordinate clean-ups with data owners. User Support & Training - Provide tier-1/2 support, manage tickets, create quick-reference guides, and deliver short training sessions. Vendor Coordination - Triage issues and coordinate with the Workday support partner (e.g., TopBloc) on escalations; track outcomes and lessons learned. Process Improvement - Document SOPs, propose small iterations, and help sequence backlog items for quarterly delivery. Deliberate de-scoping from IT: This role does not own device provisioning, MDM/Intune, phone programs, or building security. It collaborates with IT only as needed.
