Our North York Kia Dealership is looking for a Junior Parts Consultant/Driver to join their amazing team!
Job Purpose
This position involves internal and external customer service activities supported by technical, business and communication skills. The Junior Parts Consultant/Driver responds to both customers and technicians parts requirements. This is accomplished through over the counter and phone sales. They are responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for the dealership.
Responsibilities
Assist internal and external customers with their parts needs
Lead through, but ensure customers are aware of the processes involved
Show concern and responsibility for customers' needs
Accurately conduct all material and financial transactions in order to avoid losses
Follow established payment handling procedures
Ensure that all goods are checked against shipping notes, packing slips, pick tickets or invoices
Ensure any goods exchanging hands between two parties are followed by confirming signature
Handle all goods with care and report any discrepancies, damages or defects to the supervisor
Perform perpetual and yearly inventory count
Show understanding and comply with implemented parts department procedures
Maintain safe, clean and organized environment
Complete required training courses according to deadlines
Perform other tasks and duties needed within parts department domain
Occasional parts delivery or pick up
Qualifications
A valid Ontario G Driver's License
Clean driver's abstract.
Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
Experience in a retail or automotive industry is beneficial
CDK software systems experience is beneficial
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Ability to prioritize, manage and follow up on tasks and duties in busy work environment
Professional appearance & friendly disposition
Follow up skills and strong attention to detail is a must
Computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office Programs is a must
Ability to handle heavier parts, wheels, barrels etc. with equipment or help provided if needed
Availability to work every third or fourth Saturday in the evening
