The Junior Operational Systems Administrator will be accountable for the provision of network and server support and problem escalation services for AGL\xe2\x80\x99s Operational Networks and OT (Operational Technology) Infrastructure.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

Server Management

• 
  Support operating system and application configuration of Operational Technology servers.
• 
  Support the Operational Network hardware and software applications.
• 
  Assist in managing the Operational Network remote access services.

Network Systems Support

• 
  Participate in the continuous development initiative to drive improvements in network services and capabilities.
• 
  Develop and maintain network documentation.
• 
  Proactive monitoring of network systems.
• 
  Engineer and deliver innovative solutions to facilitate robust and secure interfaces between old and new technologies.

Operational Network Systems Security

• 
  Proactive monitoring of Operational Network systems security
• 
  Communication of any anomalous behaviour to internal stakeholders.
• 
  Assist any investigations carried out by AGL IT Security into suspected security incidents.

Change Management

• 
  Manage scheduling of systems outages to minimise business disruption in consultation with AGL IT and generation stakeholders.
• 
  Follow Change Management procedures to document and execute scheduled changes.
• 
  Provide client focused, proactive support in the areas of problem and change management.

  Understanding of Network technology concepts including Routing, Switching and Firewalls. Knowledge of the Microsoft Platform (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, WSUS).
• 
  Knowledge of Virtualisation concepts.
• 
  Knowledge of Remote Access concepts.
