Job Overview

We are seeking Junior Manager of Capital Projects to join our hotel management team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in project management and ideally some education in project management, with a focus on the hospitality industry. This role does not require a formal project management designation, but experience with project management tools and methodologies is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage various capital projects within Globex properties, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

2. Oversee a Procurement Assistant to obtain quotes on items identified and capital projects to finalize costs or a capital project.

3. For properties identified by Globex Directors, assign capital projects to Third Party Project Managers

4. Work directly with Contractors, General Managers and Owners and Globex Above Property contact for each property

5. Collaborate with different departments to execute capital projects

6. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

7. Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.

8. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to Globex Above Property and General Managers and Owners .

9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

1. 2 to 5 years of experience working in the hotel environment.

2. Some experience in project management, including the use of project management tools.

3. Ideally, some education in project management.

4. Strong organizational and time management skills.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

2. Knowledge of the hospitality industry and its unique challenges.

3. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
