About the Role:


Reporting to the Manager, Surgical and Tertiary Care, eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a Junior Information Analyst. In this position, you will be responsible for report generation and querying techniques, providing data extractions and reporting solutions for both eHealth and our HealthCare partners. In addition to extracting reports from a variety of systems, and from the integration of those systems, you will also be responsible for liaising with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. You may work collaboratively with Data Warehouse and Data Quality Administrators within your team to build solutions within the corporate architecture framework. Other responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving incidents for various existing production reporting/data solutions and assisting with planning and technology changes or upgrades in a complex integrated environment.

To qualify for this position, you will have knowledge and/or experience in the following:


You have a growing knowledge of database concepts, theories, and data integration using various computer platforms;

You must have proven experience writing SQL queries and creating stored procedures;

You have demonstrated experience with computer scripting/programming;

You have a passion for evidenced based decision making and experience creating reports using an industry standard tool (e.g. Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, Jasper Reports);

You have an excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package;

You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, technology driven environment;

You have proven experience and skills in effective communication, problem solving, and documentation standards;

Knowledge of the health environment would be an additional asset;

Thorough understanding of change management protocols and quality control are an asset.


Our ideal candidate would have gained the knowledge and skills required for this position through the completion of a post-secondary degree program or diploma program that is supplemented with experience in computer science, health informatics, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience would be considered. In addition, the successful candidate will have completed a minimum of a 6-month work placement experience.

You have understanding of n-tier architecture and multi-tier software solutions.
