Job Description


Reporting to the Manager of Design, we are seeking a Junior HVAC CAD Designer who will be responsible for preparing technical drawings on computerized software. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings and schematics.
  • Generate HVAC design drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT software for new and existing products.
  • Consult with architects, engineers, and designers while preparing drawings.
  • Participate in space planning, block planning, finishes selection, layout creation, and detailed design drawings.
  • Handle full set of working drawings containing material finishes, fixtures, and detailing.
  • Conduct design concept development.
  • Seek out and achieve design improvements and efficiencies through the design production process.
  • File engineering drawings electronically.
  • Clean up CAD and REVIT files for project closeout.
  • Adhere to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Technical Standards while maintaining brand standards.
  • Special projects or other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture/Architectural Technology or HVAC Technology or related \xe2\x80\x9cTechnology\xe2\x80\x9d fields.
  • Previous Design experience, preferably in Architectural or HVAC design an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
  • Proficient in: Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and AutoCad. REVIT experience required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Able to manage and prioritize tasks and projects in a fast paced, frequent deadline environment.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices an asset.
  • In-field Construction experience an asset
  • Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) Part 6 & Legal Examination Certification an asset
  • Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI), Residential Air System Design Certificate (RASDT) or encompassing certifications leading to \xe2\x80\x9cRASDT\xe2\x80\x9d an asset
