Job Overview

We are seeking a

Junior Human Resources (HR) Associate

to join our team on a part-time basis (up to 24 hours per week). This role will support the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and standards while assisting with staff communications and management support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to gain hands-on experience in human resources.

Responsibilities

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and standards. Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, and scheduling interviews. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company standards. Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires. Communicate HR updates, policies, and information effectively to staff and management. Provide support to managers and employees on HR-related inquiries. Contribute to process improvements and help foster a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (completed or in progress). Previous HR or administrative experience is an asset but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal). Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. Knowledge of HR best practices and Ontario employment legislation is an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
