Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic and personal growth of each student. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Duties

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles. Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic performance and behavioral issues. Utilize technology and computer software (including Excel) to enhance teaching methods and streamline administrative tasks. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Collaborate with special education staff to support students with diverse learning needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification is must. Strong command of the English language; proficiency in additional languages (e.g., French) is a plus. Experience using office software for lesson planning and administrative tasks. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports all students, including those requiring special education services. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as they can enhance communication with diverse student populations. Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
