we are seeking a talented and passionate junior hair stylist to join our nude salon team.
the ideal candidate will have completed their apprenticeship hours and be licensed or in the process of obtaining their license.
this role is best suite for someone who is excited to enter the hair industry and grow behind the chair. the right person will be keen to continue their education, keep up to date with industry trends and have strong desire to build a loyal clientele base.
as a junior hair stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality hair services while ensuring client satisfaction and promoting salon products.
jr stylist - duties:
provide a range of hair services including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs and preferences.
maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
engage with clients to understand their desired looks and offer professional advice on styles, products and at home care.
educate guests on salon products and services to enhance the client experience and contribute to salon revenue.
foster positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry advancements.
be active on social media to develop a personal brand and active portfolio.
skills and expectations:
strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
proficient in hair styling techniques with a keen eye for detail.
knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe working environment.
effective upselling abilities to promote products and services confidently.
excellent communication skills for clear interactions with both guests and team members.
registered hair license in Ontario considered an assent, but not required.
interest or knowledge in hair extension considered an asset, but not required.
