SAF International

has partnered with marginalized communities throughout India and, more recently, Nepal to break cycles of poverty and uplift lives through education, health, and community-development initiatives. From scholarship programs that keep 2,500+ children in school, to community libraries on the Punjab-Pakistan border, to monthly food security support for single mothers and seniors, our projects are driven by Sikh values of

(well-being of all).

For Summer 2025, we're looking for a creative storyteller who can turn our impact into compelling visuals that inspire donors, volunteers, and the wider public.

Location:

Surrey HQ (8381 128 Street)

Schedule:

35 hrs / week | Some weekend event shifts (fundraising booths)

Duration:

8-12 weeks, June-August 2025

What You'll Do

Design

eye-catching graphics for social media, e-blasts, print newsletters, leaflets, and event collateral.

Produce & edit video

spotlights (reels, interviews, short documentaries) to showcase field work in India & Nepal.

Maintain our digital asset library

(photo/video tagging, file organization, basic color-correction).

Collaborate

with the communications team on campaign concepts, brand consistency, and content calendars.

Engage

with the public at occasional weekend booths, capturing on-site photos and answering basic program questions.

Qualifications

:(per Canada Summer Jobs)

Must be between 18-30 years old Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident Available for 35 hours/week - Must Have: Solid grasp of Adobe CC or similar design/video suite - Must Have: Comfortable juggling multiple projects & deadlines - Preferred: Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi, or another South-Asian language - Preferred: Interest in international development or South-Asian socio-economics
