Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and passionate Florist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, customer service, and retail sales. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, assisting customers with their selections, and maintaining the overall appearance of the shop. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions including weddings, events, and everyday sales. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs. Maintain inventory of flowers and supplies; ensure freshness and quality of products. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Engage in merchandising activities to enhance product displays and promote sales. Assist with landscape maintenance as needed, ensuring plants are healthy and well-cared for. Manage e-commerce orders, ensuring timely fulfillment and delivery of online purchases. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to foster a positive shopping experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in floral design or related fields such as horticulture or gardening is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with retail sales practices, including cash handling and POS systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; additional languages are advantageous. Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain shop cleanliness effectively. A passion for flowers and plants with knowledge of landscape maintenance practices is desirable. Pay: $15.00-$27.21 per hour
